Caldwell - February 25, 1985

Leonard "Shorty" DeVazier, age 66, of Caldwell died February 25, at 8: 20 p. m.
at Baptist Memorial Hospital -- Forrest City. He had been in poor health the
past year and in the hospital for one day. He was born February 25, 1919 in
Caldwell, the son of Ollie DeVazier and Lela Jones. He made his home in Caldwell
all of his life and was a retired supervisor for St. Francis County and was a
Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Living of Caldwell; four sons, Living of
Forrest City, Living all of Caldwell; two brothers, Living of McCrory and Living
of Colt; a sister Living of Lonoke; six grandchildren. Funeral services were
held Wednesday, February 27, at 2 p. m. at Steven Funeral Home Chapel with the
Rev. Martin Jamerson and the Rev. R. B. Hoshaw officiating. Burial was in
Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City.
