L. Hudgens, 93, of Madison died suddenly and unexpectedly Friday afternoon. He was dead on arrival at Forrest Memorial Hospital. He was born November 5, 1879, in Montgomery, Ala., and was the son of Mrs. Ella Gordy Hudgens and Anson Martin Hudgens. He had been living in Madison since 1932. Mr. Hudgens was a retired employe of Griffin Lumber Company and had been a commercial fisherman. He was a Baptist. Mr. Hudgen's wife, Mrs. Ada Lee Sybert Hudgens, preceeded him in death nine years ago. He leaves one son, Living of Madison and one step- daughter, Living, also of Madison, 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Hudgens were held at Stevens Funeral Home at 2 p. m. Sunday with the Rev. J. D. Webb in charge. Burial followed in the Forrest Park Cemetery.
