Isbell, age 61, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at his home here at 128 E. Cook Avenue about 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from a heart attack. Mr. Isbell was born at Bono, Arkansas on March 8th, 1911 and was the son of Elizabeth Stephens Isbell and Joseph E. Isbell. He had been making his home here in Forrest City since 1947 and was retired linen service salesman. Mr. Isbell was a member of the First Baptist Church here. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vadis Hodges Isbell who he married in 1937, two sons, Living of Baltimore, Maryland and Living of Charleston, S. Carolina and one grandchild. He also leaves four sisters, Mrs. Ethel Lane, Miss Edith Isbell, Mrs. Grace Knight, and Mrs. Lois Easton all of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Funeral services by Rev. Bobby Moore will be held at the graveside at Forrest Park Cemetery at 2pm Friday, February 23rd, 1973 with Stevens Funeral Home in charge.
