GERTRUDE LINDSEY
Mrs. Gertrude Lindsey, age 81, of Caldwell, died Saturday Dec. 21, 1985 at 9: 40
p. m. at Baptist Hospital-Forrest City. She had been in poor health the past
three months and the hospital for the past three months. She was born August 26,
1904 in Jackson County, Alabama, to Louis L. Harris and Catherine Bullock
Harris. She made her home in Caldwell most of her life. She was a dress designer
and a freehandartist. Mrs. Lindsey was a member of the Baptist Church in
Caldwell. In 1934 she married John C. Lindsey Sr., who preceded her in death in
1969. She leaves a brother, Living of Caldwell; a sister, Living of Forrest
City; five step grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services
were held Monday, December 23, at 2 p. m. in the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel,
with the Rev. Martin Jamerson officiating. Burial was to follow in Hughes
Cemetery under the direction of Steven Funeral Home.
