MARIANNA MEMORIAL Cemetery

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Jackson PETTY, age 80, of Marianna, died Friday, August 7,
1987 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Central in Memphis. She had been in poor
health for six months. She was born April 3, 1907 in Jonesboro, La., a daughter
of Marshall Parks Jackson and Josephine Mae Ross Jackson. She had lived in
Marianna since 1942. She was a housewife and a member of First Baptist Church in
Marianna. In 1932, she married Hugh Lawson Petty, who preceded her in death in
1967. She leaves a daughter, Susi Petty Ware of Memphis, Tenn.; a granddaughter,
Mrs. Susan Paige Rohling of Memphis; a grandson, Robert Ellis Fleishman Jr. of
Tioton Falls, N. J.; and a great granddaughter, Chelsea Lauren Rohling of
Memphis. Funeral services were sheduled for 3 p. m. Tuesday, August 11, 1987 at
Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Ted Houston officiating, assisted by
Rev. Joe Wofford. burial was to follow in Marianna Memorial Park, under the
direction of Stevens Funeral Home, Forrest City.
