All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** NATIVE ROWLAND, MRS LULA FERGUSON 12/26/1887-12/1972 FPARK Cemetery-FAIRVIEW Section-Image 4747 Mrs. Lula Rowland, 84, died shortly before 10 o'clock Wednesday night at the Boone County Hospital at Harrison, where she had been a patient for about a week. Mrs. Rowland had been in very poor health for the past several years. A native of St. Francis County, she was born here December 26, 1887, and was the daughter of Elizabeth Ann Ligon Ferguson and William Carroll Ferguson. Mrs. Rowland had spent her life here in and around Forrest City. She had resided in Harrison with her daughter for the past three years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church here. Her husband Tom J. Rowland, who she married in 1908 preceeded her in death in 1953. Funeral services by Rev. Bryon McSpadden and Dr. Earl Hughes will be held at Stevens Funeral Home at 2 p. m. Saturday. Burial will follow in Forrest Park Cemetery. Survivors include one son, Tom J. Rowland of Idaho; four daughters, Miss Virginia Rowland, Mrs. Joe Miller both of Harrison, Mrs. Louis Jones and Mrs. Heber Hughes, both of Forrest City; one brother, Joe E. Ferguson Sr. of Forrest City; one sister, Mrs. M W. Francis of Forrest city, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
