Floyd Wright, 23, of Laredo, Texas, died Thursday afternoon on Falcon Lake in Zapata County, Texas. Wright drowned while fishing with a fried. Born Aug. 12, 1953, in Helena, Wright is the son of Mrs. Betty Sue Bryant Wright and Mr. Harry M. Wright. He made his home in Palestine until moving to Laredo a year ago. Wright was an oil company employee, a Vietnam veteran and a Baptist. He was married to Cherie Lynn Colston in 1973. She survives him along with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wright of Palestine. Other survivers include two brothers, Harold M. Wright with the U. S. Army in Hawaii and Charles P. Wright of Palestine, four sisters, Patricia Roxanne Wright, Alma Sue Wright, Gloria Gregg Wright, Pamela Gregg Wright, all of Palestine, also survive. He also leaves his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Wright of Jasper, Ala., Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Steinbeck of West Helena and Mr. Lester Bryant of Forrest City. Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday at Stevens Funeral Home with Sis Crawley officiatiing. Burial will follow in Forrest Park Cemetery.
