ELLA MAE LOFTIN BANNON

Mrs Ella Mae Loftin Bannon of Southaven, Miss, died Friday March 5, 1993 at the DeSoto
Baptist Memorial Hospital in Mississippi. She was 89. Mrs Bannon was born Jan 19 1904 in
Grubbs Ark to Dr William R Loftin and Ella Mac Gray Loftin. She lived in Forrest City
before moving to Mississippi in 1990. She was a housewife and a Methodist. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Claude R Bannon in 1978 and by two sons, Ed Bannon and
Claude Bannon. She leaves two sons, Joe Bannon of Grenada Miss and Chuck Bannon of
Southaven; two daughters, Ida Womack of Lake City Ark, and Jeanne Sossaman of Corpus
Christi TX; and nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held
Sunday, March 7 at 2:30 pm at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev Huey Wood
officiating. Burial was in Forrest Park Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral
Home.
