MARY WEEKS BELL
8 27 1905-3 23 1993

Mrs Mary Weeks Bell of Forrest City, the retired owner of Bell’s Café, died Tuesday, March
23, 1993. She was 87. Mrs Bell, born Aug 27, 1905, in Linden, Tenn, was the daughter of
Wiley Andrew Weeks and Frances Carleton Weeks. A resident of Forrest City for the past 60
years, she was a member of the First Christian Church in Forrest City. She was preceded in
death by her husband, Cecil Bell in 1960, and a son, Cecil W Bell in 1986. Survivors
include a son, Don R Bell of Forrest City; two daughters, Marion B Whitaker of Memphis and
Maxine B Gilbreath of Forrest City; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral
services will be at 2 pm Thursday at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Dr Kenneth Breeze
officiating. Burial followed in Forrest Park Cemetery under the direction of Stevens
Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church.
