All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** RACHAEL FLOYD JOHNSON LONG BRANWELL 10 14 1910-3 14 1993 Mrs. Rachael Floyd Johnson Long Branwell of Colt died Sunday, March 14, 1993 at the Saline Nursing Center in Benton. She was 82. Mrs Barnwell was born Oct 14, 1910 in Knoxville, Ark, to Willie Fletcher Gilbert and Mary Magadeline Waymire Gilbert. She was a retired sales clerk for West Department Store in Forrest City. She lived most of her adult life in St Francis County. She moved to Little Rock in 1989 and had been a resident of the Saline Nursing Center in Benton for the past six months. She was a member of the Colt United Methodist Church in Colt. She was the widow of Robert Johnson who died in 1947, Alex Long who died in 1977 and Kenny Barnwell who died in 1985. She was preceded in death by one son, Jack Johnson who died in 1984. Mrs. Barnwell is survived by two sons, Kenneth Johnson and J.W. Johnson, both of Little Rock; one daughter, Linda Mathis of Little Rock; one foster daughter, Maxine Allen of Memphis; two brothers, Marvin Gilbert of Colt and Boe Gilbert of Forrest City; two sisters, Sue Schmitz of Forrest City and Edna Munn of Colt; and 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Tuesday, March 16 at the Kernodle Funeral Home Chapel in Wynne with the Rev Herbert Rowland officiating.
