All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** RUBY BURNS 8 1 1909-3 31 1993 Mrs. Ruby Burns of Forrest City died Wednesday, March 31, 1993 at Crestpark Nursing Home of Forrest City where she has resided for the past three years. She was 91. She was born Aug 1, 1909 in Birmingham ALA to Frank Barrett and Annie Justice Barrett. A longtime resident of Forrest City, she was a housewife and a member of Second Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis T Burns Sr, in 1946, a daughter, Estelle Surginer in 1992 and a son, Tommy Burns in 1986. Survivors include four daughters, Mary E Brown and Edna E Smalley of Caldwell and Clau- (missing text) Forrest City; five sons, Louis Burns of Olive Branch, Miss, Finis Burns of Ruston, LA, Jerry Burns of Jacksonville, Fla, John Burns of Jonesboro and Sidney Burns of Forrest City; one sister, Myrtle Sullivan of Jonesboro; and 25 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 2 at 2 pm at the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs Marion Grambling, David Burns and Ron Lace officiating. Burial will be in Hughes Cemetery in Forrest City under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
