BARBARA STEPHENS CORLEY
4 21 1935-1 31 1993

Mrs. Barbara Stephens Corley of Hughes died Sunday, Jan. 31, 1993, at Crittenden Memorial
Hospital in West Memphis. She was 57. She was born April 21, 1935, in North Carolina to
Floyd Stephens and Mae Dieters Berry. She had lived in Hughes the past two years where she
was a member of the church of God in Hughes. She is survived by her husband, Rev. D.E.
Corley Sr., Hughes; two sons, Don Dorley Jr., Hughes and Rev. Tim A Corley, Clovis, NM;
her mother, Mae Dieters, Forrest City; a brother, Larry Stephens, El Jabel CO; three
sisters, Edna Boles of Elizabeth CO, Elizabeth Hollard of Wasilla, Alaska, and Joyce
Hopple of Glennwood Springs, CO; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death in 1966
by a son, Mark Corley. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1993, at the
Oak Hill Church of God with Rev. James A Proctor, Rev. Albert Jenkins and Rev. Mrs. Linda
Brewer officiating. Rev. William Wother will preside over the graveside service. Burial
will be in Forrest Park Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home in Forrest
City.
