FLOYD COWAN SR.
4 21 1902-2 10 1993

Mr. Floyd Cowan Sr. of Colt died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1993 at his home. He was 90. Mr.
Cowan was born April 21, 1902 in Colt to Richard C Cowan and Lula Hardin Cowan. He lived
in the Colt area all of his life. He was retired from the Forrest City Public Schools
where he worked for 25 year and from farming. He was a member of the Shiloh Baptist
Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maude Taylor in 1988 and by a son, the Rev
Floyd Cowan Jr. in 1986. Survivors include one son, Lee "Happy" Cowan of Colt; a brother,
M.S. Cowan Sr. of Colt; and three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral
services will be at 2 pm Saturday, Feb. 13 at the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
Gary Malone officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Park Cemetery under the direction of
Stevens Funeral Home.
