All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** MARY MADGE ELPHINGSTONE 9 13 1907-3 7 1993 Mrs. Mary Madge Elphingstone of LaGrange died Sunday, March 7, 1993, at her home. She was 85. Mrs. Elphingstone was born Sept 13, 1907 to William Henry Howe and Nellie Mason Howe. She was a retired postmistress and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Marianna. She ws preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Elphingstone and by two grandchildren. She leaves three daughters, Madge Elphingstone of West Memphis, Jane McClendon of Houston and Nancy Elphingstone of Jonesboro; six sons, Scott Elphingstone of Newport, Donald Elphingstone of Lakeland Fla, Paul Elphingstone of Lakewood Ojio, Joe Elphingstone of Forrest City, Dr. Gerald Elphingstone Sr of Sterling VA and Dr Eugene Elphingstone of Missouri City TX; a sister, Patricia Wood of Englewood CO and 13 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 10 at 2 pm at the Methodist Church with the Rev Fred Haustein and the Rev Denzel Stokes officiating. Burial will be in LaGrange Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of Marianna.
