RUFUS STINETTE FONDREN
1 8 1909-4 2 1993

Mr. Rufus Stinette Fondren of Forrest City died Friday, April 2, 1993 at Baptist Memorial
Hospital-Forrest City., He was 84. Mr Fondren was born Jan 8, 1909 in Benton, Ark to the
late Rufus Fondren and the late Garland West Fondren. He lived in Forrest City al of his
life, where he was a retired Assistant Tax Collector and Deputy Sheriff for St Francis
County and was a member of the First Baptist Church. He leaves his wife, Beatrice Parker
Fondren of the home; a daughter, Nona Fondren Carreca of Minneapolis; a brother, Harry
Fondren of Mobile, Ala; a sister, Willie Mae McGee of Forrest City; and three
grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held today, April 5 at 2 pm
at First Baptist Church with the Rev Don Matthews officiating. Burial Followed in Forrest
Park Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
