All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** OLMON H HARGRAVES (b.Aug.24,1912 d.Feb. 26, 1993) Mr Olmon H Hargraves of Forrest City, a former circuit judge and long-time Forrest City Municipal Judge, died Monday, March 8, 1993 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis. He was 80. Mr Hargraves was born Aug 24, 1912 in Forrest City, the son of Solomon S Hargraves and Lucy Sanders Hargraves. He lived in Forrest City most of his life. He was an attorney and a retired U.S.Navy lieutenant commander who served in World War II. Mr Hargraves was a municipal judge in Forrest City for 18 years and a circuit judge for six years. He was a Catholic. He leaves his wife, Jean Foster Hargraves of the home; two daughters, Ruth Eugenia Hargraves of Washington D.C and Rosemary H Cianciolo of Memphis; two sons, Robert S Hargraves of Hot Springs and James H Hargraves of Forrest City; two sisters, Ruth Nelson of Memphis and Etta Mae Peterson of Germantown Tenn; a brother, Solomon S Hargraves of Alabama; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 10 at 2 pjm at St Francis Catholic Church with Father Fred Zerelli officiating. Burial will be in Mt Vernon Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis or to a favorite charity.
