All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** JAMES HICKY 10 15 1911-5 20 1993 Mr. James Hicky, 2338 N Washington, Forrest City, a longtime Forrest City businessman, died Thursday, May 20, 1993 at his home. He was 81. Mr. Hicky was born Oct 15, 1911 in Eunice LA, the son of Philip Hicky and Gladys Gilbeaux Hicky. He had lived in Forrest City since 1917, moving here from Breaux Bridge LA. He served as Chief Executive Officer of the Forrest City Cotton Oil Mill and affiliated entities for more than 30 years. Mr. Hicky had served as president of the Valley Oilseed Processors Association and as president of the National Cotton Products Association. He was a retired member of the Board of Directors of the First National Bank of Eastern Arkansas. In recent years, Mr Hicky was active in the development of real estate. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. Mr Hicky is survived by his wife, DuPuy Lindsey Hicky, whom he married in 1937; two daughters, Martha Hicky Fogelman and Maryanne Hicky MacDonald, both of Memphis; a son, Philip Hicky II of Forrest City; a brother, Jerry Hicky of Marianna; and five grandchildren. Graveside services for Mr Hicky will be held Saturday, may 22 at 11 am at Forrest Park Cemetery with the Rev Ken Martin officiating. Services will be under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. The family requests any memorials be made to the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, Forrest City.
