AMOS HINES
7 12 1909-4 7 1993

Mr. Amos Hines of Forrest City died Wednesday, April 7, 1993, at his home. He was 83. Mr.
Hines was born July 12, 1909 in Coty, Ark. He was a farmer. He is survived by his wife,
Girtrue Hines; six sons, Amos Hines Jr, Elton Hines, James Hines and Enrico Hines, all of
Forrest City and Carnell Hines and Harold Hines, both of Dallas; eight daughters, Zennie
Crawford and Cleoria Moore, both of Dallas, Olivia Brown, Corine Hines, Florence Williams
and Flossie Hines, all of Memphis, Magnolia Reese of Santa Ana, CA, and Margie Whitney of
Los Angeles CA; three brothers, Joseph Hines, Elton Hines and Hubert Hines, all of Forrest
City; one sister, Pearlie Lewellen of Forrest City; and 47 grandchildren and 23 great
grandchildren. Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday, April 13, at the United Christian
Church. Burial will be in Hines Cemetery under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home of
Forrest City.
