EDDIE JOPLIN
4 28 1897-1 5 1993

Mr. Eddie Joplin of Haynes died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1993, at Baptist Hospital in Memphis. He
was 95. Mr. Joplin was born April 28, 1897, in Trenton, Tenn. Survivors include a son,
Edward Gates of Haynes; two sisters, Ethel Abernathy of Colt and Ruby Sykes of Chicago; 25
grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of
other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan 10, at the Spring
Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. O.B. Brown officiating. Burial was in Casteel Cemetery
under the direction of Clay Funeral Home.
