All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** ANNIE LOUISE MCDANIEL LUHN 1 20 1915-2 26 1993 Mrs. Annie Louise McDaniel Luhn of Poplar Bluff MO died Friday, Feb 26, 1993. She was 78. She was born Jan. 20, 1915 in St Francis County, the daughter of the late Sidney Ambrose McDaniel and the late Annie Mae Stewart McDaniel. She made her home in Forrest City for many years. She was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Episcopal. She attended the University of Arizona, was a graduate of Arkansas State Teachers College in Conway and earned the Masters Degree in Social Services, and later was a State Child Welfare Adoption Agent in Newport. Mrs Luhn had been a resident of Poplar Bluff for over 20 years. She was a member of the Episcopal Church in Poplar Bluff, a member of the Poplar Bluff Garden Club, the Monday Literacy Club, the Poplar Bluff Garden Club, the William Strong Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Treaty Oak Chapter of the Daughters of the American Colonists. She was a founder and longtime supporter of Parents Anonymous inn Missouri. She is survived by her husband, William C Luhn, whom she married October 2, 1960 in Forrest City; two step daughters, Judith Ann Braley of Riverside CA and Jane Ellen Glenn of Lynwood CA; a sister, Mrs. Roy H Morris of Austin TX; a niece, Marjorie Ann Jones of Austin TX; eight step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. A memorial service was scheduled today in Poplar Bluff. Funeral services are Wednesday, March 3 at 10 am at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Forrest City. A visitation is scheduled at the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel from 6 to 9 pm Tuesday. Burial will be in Forrest Park Cemetery.
