GUY MARTIN
age 76-d.12 26 1992

Guy Martin of Brinkley died Saturday, Dec. 26, 1992. He was 76. He was a retired rice
buyer and dryer manager for Riviana Foods. He was city manager of Brinkley in 1988, and
was a member of the Brinkley Board of Directors for eight years. He was a commissioner
with Brinkley Water and Sewer Commission, a past president of the Kiwanis Club, a member
of the Brinkley Racket Club and a deacon of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include
his wife, Verona Vice Martin of Brinkley; three sons, Steve Martin of Conway, Bruce Martin
of Stuttgart and Jim Martin of Little Rock; two daughters, Hannah Hemme of Forrest City
and Ruth Anne Singleterry of DeValls Bluff; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will
be held Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1992, at the First Baptist Church of Brinkley with Rev Jim
McDaniel and Rev. Tom Morris officiating. Burial will be in the Almyra Cemetery under the
direction of Fowler Funeral Home. Visitation will be held tonight from 6-a8 at Fowler
Funeral Home.
