All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** ROBERT PAUL "PETE" MCFADDEN 11 6 1922-3 4 1993 Mr. Robert Paul "Pete" McFadden of Wynne died Thursday, March 4, 1993 at St Bernard’s Hospital in Jonesboro. He was 70. Mr McFadden was born Nov. 6, 1922 in Hoxie Ark, the son of Elmer Adam McFadden and Grace Decker McFadden. He lived in St Francis County from 1942 until 1950 before moving to Cross County. He was a farmer for several years and also a former employee of Addison Shoe Company and the Cross Country Road Department. He retired from the Arkansas Highway Department in 1983 as a heavy equipment operator. Mr McFadden was also a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the D.A.V. Organization and East Baptist Church in Wynne. He leaves his wife, Veola Audean Wilson McFadden of the home; a son, Donald McFadden of Blytheville; a daughter, Carolyn Gaines of Fort Smith; a brother, Elmer "Jack" McFadden of Waco TX; a sister, Jean Hackworth of Rockford IL; and four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 6 at 2 pm at Kernodle Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev Danny Weatherford and the Rev James Tallant officiating. Burial was in Cogbill Cemetery under the direction of Kernodle Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to East Baptist Church of Wynne or the St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.
