FORREST MCKINNEY
5 16 1905-1 26 1993

Mr. Forrest McKinney of Crestpark Retirement Inn died Monday, Jan. 26, 1993, at Baptist
Memorial Hospital-Forrest City. He was 87. Mr. McKinney was born May 16, 1905, in
Harrisburg, Ark, to James P McKinney and Ester Van Hoozier McKinney. He lived in Forrest
City most of his life. He retired in 1985 from Nimocks Oil Company and was a deacon at
Bethel Baptist Church. He leaves his wife, Virgie Thomas McKinney of Forrest City; two
sons, J.V. McKinney of North Little Rock and Thearon McKinney of Raleigh, NC; a brother,
Frank McKinney of Elgin TX; three sisters, Anna Mae Rice, Nettie Walley and Gladys Carter,
all of Forrest City; and three grandchildren, Blake, Bryan and Kate McKinney. Funeral
services will be held Thursday, Jan. 28, at 10:30 am at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with
Rev. Gramblin officiating, assisted by the Rev. Lash Frey. Burial will be in Forrest Park
Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
