VERDO C METCALF
4 6 1909-1 29 1993

Mr. Verdo C Metcalf of Forrest City died Jan. 29, 1993, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in
Forrest City. He was 83. Mr. Metcalf was born April 6, 1909, in Birmingham, Ala. He is the
son of the late Turner Metcalf and Estella Casey Metcalf. He is survived by three sisters,
Burnice Harris and Ruth Robinson both of Forrest City and Willie B Johnson of San Diego,
and a host of other relatives and friends. There will be a wake from 6-7 pm Tuesday, Feb.
2, 1993, at the Woodhouse Mortuary Chapel. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb.
3, 1993, at noon at the Rising Sun Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Armstead Slayton
officiating. Burial will be in Casteel Cemetery under the direction of Woodhouse Mortuary.
