Mrs. Margie L "Polly" Myers of Forrest City died today, March 18, 1993 at Baptist Memorial
Hospital-Forrest City. She was 62. Mrs Myers was born May 15, 1930 in Mississippi to
Lynson Tyer and Rebecca Tyer. She had lived in Forrest City most of her life. She was the
owner of Bob’s Beauty Shop and a member of the First Christian Church of Forrest City. She
was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J "Bob" Myers in 1982. She leaves two
daughters, Janice Myers and Becky Burngarner, both of Forrest City her mother, Rebecca
Tyer of Blytheville; and three sisters, Betty Barch of Memphis, Jenny Powell of
Blytheville and Mary Sturnbough of Russelville; and four grandchildren and one great
grandchild. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 19 at 2 pm at Stevens Funeral Home
Chapel with the Revs Kenneth Breeze and Edward Rountree officiating. Burial will be in
Forrest Park Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
