All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** LURANIE ELIZABETH DAVISON PATTON 3 3 1892-2 9 1993 Mrs. Luranie Elizabeth Davison Patton of Forrest City died Tuesday, Feb 9, 1993 at her home. She was 100. Mrs. Patton was born March 3, 1892 to Henry and Catherine Davison in Ripley, Miss. She later moved to Felton, Ark. and then to Forrest City, where she became a member of the Lane Chapel C.M.E. Church. She held several offices at the church including Sunday School teacher and president of Stewardess Board #1, and was a member of the missionary society and the choir. She was preceded in death by her husband Jackson Patton in 1963 and by two sons. She is survived by two daughters, Ethel P Boganey of Muskegon, Mich. and Sederia P Cox of the home; a granddaughter, Oneida Davis of Champaign IL; two great grandchildren, Winnie Kay Davis of Chicago and James Davis of Champaign; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Friday Feb. 12 from 6-7 pm at Kennedy Funeral Home and Saturday Feb. 13 from 11 am to 1 pm at Lane Chapel C.M.E. Church. Funeral Services will be held at the church at 1 pm Saturday with Rev. Ronald Williams officiating. Burial will be in Casteel Cemetery under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made Lane Chapel C.M.E. Church.
