MELVIN EDWARD PORTER
1 3 1922-4 7 1993

Rev. Melvin Edward Porter of Forrest City died Wednesday, April 7, 1993 at White County
Memorial Hospital in Searcy. He was 71. Mr. Porter was born Jan 3, 1922 in Higden, Ark. He
was a minister, a member of the Division St. Church of God and a veteran of World War II.
He leaves his wife Margaret Crisler Porter of Forrest City; a daughter, Karen Wims of Fort
Pierce, Fla; two sons, Michael Porter of Southaven, Miss and Keith Porter of Heber
Springs; a brother, Eudale Porter of Searcy; and five grandchildren and one great
grandchild. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 9 at 11 am at Oak Hill Church of
God. Burial will be in White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy under the direction of
Morgan Funeral Home
