CHARLES E SHACKELFORD
9 15 1908-2 8 1993

Mr. Charles E Shackelford of Forrest City died Monday, Feb. 8, 1993, at the Forrest City
Convalescent Center. He was 84. Mr. Shackelford was born Sept. 15, 1908, in Oak Grove,
Miss. to Mr. and Mrs. Will Shackelford. He lived in Hernando, Miss. until moving to the
Marianna-Forrest City area in 1937. He was a retired plumber and a Baptist. He was
preceded in death by his wife, Eva Mae Walton Shackelford in 1945. He leaves Ruth Austin
of the home; a son, Maurice Shackelford of Destin, Fla; a brother, Hayward Shackelford of
McComb, Miss; a sister, Ruth Eddins of Memphis; and two grandchildren. Funeral services
for Mr. Shackelford will be held Thursday, Feb. 11, at 1 pm at Stevens Funeral Home
Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 pm Thursday at the Oak Grove Cemetery in
Hernando, Miss. under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
