ELGIN WILLIAM WEBB JR
8 28 1910-4 4 1993

Mr. Elgin William Webb Jr of Palestine died Sunday April 4, 1993 at his home. He was 82.
Mr Webb was born Aug 28, 1910 in Marianna. He leaves his wife, Thelma Webb of Palestine;
seven sons, Victor and William Webb, both of Memphis, Donald and Johnnie Webb, both of
California and Jeffery, Joseph and Patrick Webb, all of Blytheville; eight daughters, Lee
Gertha Washington of Trenton, Mich, Eula Mae Bailey of Memphis, Dorothy Hardy of Chicago,
Shirley Taylor of Jonesboro, Lula Jones of Stanton, TN, Catherine Thomas of Forrest City,
Anita Webb of Lincoln, Neb and Valerie Jackson of Palestine; a brother, Cleophes Owens of
Memphis; and 45 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held
Friday, April 9 at noon at Lane Chapel C.M.E. Church with the Rev Oretha Ray officiating.
Burial will be in Casteel Cemetery under the direction of Clay Funeral Home. Visitation
will be held Thursday, April 8 from 10:30 am until 5 pm at Clay Funeral Home Chapel.
