Lena Verneal Jacobs Baker, 83, of McCrory died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, at her
home. Mrs. Baker was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church in McCrory, a
homemaker and a lifelong resident of McCrory. She is survived by three sons, Joe
Baker and Edgar Lee Baker Jr. both of McCrory and Lloyd Baker of Pine Bluff; one
daughter, Verneal King of Hot Springs; two brothers, Alfread Jacobs of
Springdale and David Jacobs of Wynne; five sisters, Margaret Reynolds of
Vanndale, Maxine Newland of Rancho Santa Marita, Calif., Lavern Robbins of
Forrest City, Joyce Kay of Wynne and Alice Gaston of McCrory; 13 grandchildren
and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation was Friday, Nov. 26, at Thompson-
Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Services were Saturday, Nov. 27, at Faith Baptist
Church in McCrory with Brother Mike Johnson of Franklin, Indiana officiating.
Burial followed at Woodman Cemetery with Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in charge
of the arrangement.
