Bridges, 92, of Colt, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 1999, at his home. Mr. Bridges was born Nov. 16, 1907, in Guys, Tenn., to Bart Bridges and Ada Boatwright. He lived in Colt most of his life, was a heavy equipment operator for Missouri Pacific Railroad, a member of Colt United Methodist Church and a member of the Colt Lions Club. He is survived by his wife, Helen Nicholas Bridges, a daughter, Annette Coats of Colt; a son, Thomas Bridges of Caldwell; two brothers, Hubert Bridges of Tracy, Calif., and Clarence Bridges of Wynne; two sisters, Audrey Bridges and Edna Beales both of Wynne. Five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great- grandchildren. Visitation will be held tonight at Stevens Funeral Home from 6 to 8. Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 10, 1999, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p. m. with Rev. Everett Isom and Rev. John Speed officiating. Burial will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
