Bernice P. Clark, age 89, of Weatherford, Texas, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999,
in a Weatherford Nursing Home. She was born Oct. 9, 1910, in Savannah, Tenn. She
was a homemaker, a cashier for IGA in Missouri and a member of the Church of
Christ. She is survived by two daughters, Doris Smotherman of Weatherford, Texas
and Mary Swatloski of Forrest City; two sisters, Dean Williams of Wardell, Mo.,
and Dorothy Bean of Risco, Mo.; one brother, Frank Alexander of Yucaipa, Calif.;
five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by
her husband, Homer Clark in 1982 and two brothers, Jack and Joe Alexander.
Graveside services were held Saturday, Jan. 1, 2000, at 2 p. m. at Pemiscot
Memorial Gardens in Caruthersville, Mo. Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Home Chapel
is in charge of the arrangements.
