Jodie B. "Allie" Cook Sr., age 91, of Forrest City, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999,
at Crestpark Skilled Nursing Home. She was born June 15, 1908, in Sparkman to
Herman and Minnie Shambley. She lived in St. Francis County most of her life and
was a housewife. She was a member of the Madison Methodist Church and later
attended Valley View Christian Center. She married J. B. Cook Sr., in 1932, and
he preceded her in death in 1990. She is survived by a son, J. B. Cook Jr. of
Forrest City; four daughters, Adreene Kelly, Dorothy Herbert, Jennie Mae
Hartman, and Milrean Horton, all of Forrest City; and several other relatives.
Four sons, Grady Cook, Vernon Cook, Glen Shaddock and Maxie Jo Cook all preceded
her in death. Visitation will be from 6 p. m. to 9 p. m. on Monday, Nov. 29,
1999, at Stevens Funeral Home. Services will be held at Stevens Funeral Home
Chapel at 2 p. m. on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999, with burial to follow in Forrest
Park Cemetery.
