Rose Marie Dees, 71, died Monday, March 15, in St. Louis She was a resident of
St. Louis and a member of the St. Louis Martin Paradise Temple. She is survived
by her husband, Walter Dees; 11 children, Carolyn Ray, Patricia Hyshaw, Walter
Dees, Jr., Cynthia Sandford, Janet Marie Edwards, Velecia Dees, Ronald Dees,
Michael Dees, Alvin Dees, Albert Dees, Alfred Dees; one step daughter, Annie Mae
Green; brothers and sisters, La Frances Holmes, Juanita Rucker, John Rucker,
Jr., Joseph Rucker, Sr., Alvin Rucker, Delores Henderson, Rosalind Brinkley, and
Betty Jean Evans; 35 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren. Funeral services
were held Friday, March 19, at 2: 30 p. m. at Hightower and Sons Funeral Home
Chapel. Burial followed at Surforney Young Cemetery in Brickeys. Pallbearers
were John Deal, Walter Simms, Jr., Michael Edwards, Jr., Walter Dees III, Ellis
Sandford and Richard Davis, Jr. Arrangements were handled by Hightower and Sons
Funeral Home.
