Ruby Gowder, age 78, of Colt, died Saturday, Sept. 11, 1999, at Baptist Memorial
Hospital. She was born Feb. 15, 1921 in Jericho, Ark. and was a farmer. She is
survived by two sons, Johnny Gowder and James Odell Jackson, both of Detroit,
Mich.; four daughters, Wyvonie Cooper of Detroit, Darlene Jackson Gowder of
Colt, Jeanette Jackson and Debra Ann Jackson, both of Detroit; two brothers,
James Lacy of Detroit and Odean Lacy, of St. Louis, Mo.; four sisters, Magnolia
Sain of Detroit, Lillie Harris of Memphis, Pauline Stegall of Colt and Francis
Lucas of St. Louis; 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Visitation will
be held Friday, Sept. 17, 1999, at Clay Funeral Home from 10: 30 a. m. until 5
p. m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 18, 1999, at Clay Funeral
Home with Pastor William Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Stanley Grove
Cemetery under the direction of Clay Funeral Home.
