Betty Stiles Griffith, 88, died Friday, January 1 [1999], at Helena Regional
Medical Center. She was a farmer and a member of the Methodist Church in
Marianna. She is survived by two sons, William R. Griffith of Rondo and Robert
G. Griffith of Amory, MS; three sisters, Margurite Taylor of Vineyard, Ann Scott
of Conway and Rubye Robards of Fayetteville; four grandchildren and six great
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Griffith. Funeral
services were held Monday, January 4, at 10 a. m. at Roller-Citizens Chapel in
Marianna with Rev. Austin Hamilton officiating. Burial followed at Marianna
Memorial Park. Visitation was held at Roller-Citizens on Sunday, January 3, from
5-8 p. m. Pallbearers were Ricky Griffith, Mark Griffith, David Griffith, Eric
Griffith, Colby McChesney and John Griffith. Arrangements were handled by
Roller-Citizens Funeral Home.
