Lucille Lasley Haywood, age 85, of Gainesville, Ga., died Friday, Oct. 1, 1999,
at her home. She was born in Troy, Tenn., and was a resident of Gainesville
since 1979. She was a former resident of Forrest City. She was a homemaker and a
Baptist. She is survived by a daughter, Nona Stephens of Gainesville, Ga.; three
sons, Read Charles Haywood of Jackson, Miss., James Russell Haywood of Memphis
and Thomas Clyde Haywood of Gainesville; a brother, John Thomas Lasley of
Columbia, Tenn.; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren and a host of
nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements were incomplete at press time. Little-
Davenport Funeral Home of Gainesville is in charge of the arrangements.
