Benard Helton, 84, died Wednesday, February 17, at Baptist Memorial Hospital
in Memphis. He was a resident of Lee County and a farmer. He was of the Baptist
faith. He is survived by one son, Franklin Helton of Marianna; one daughter,
Betty Creston of Little Rock; one brother, Herby Helton of Mississippi; one
sister, Marie Heiser of Nevada; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 20, at 2 p. m. at Roller-Citizens
Funeral Home Chapel in Marianna with Rev. Harlan Puckett officiating. Burial
followed at Marianna Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Russell Spain, Terry
Stewart, James Jones, Ray Cross, Donald Davis and George Brown. Arrangements
were handled by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home.
