Ina (Granny) Sulcer Hill, age 86, formerly of Palestine, died Saturday, Sept.
18, 1999, in Denham Springs, La., where she lived with her son. She was born
Oct. 3, 1912, in Palestine and was the daughter of Frank and Belle 'Scott'
Sulcer. She is survived by two sons, Sanford Astin of Denham Springs, La. and
Stanley Astin of Wilderman, Calif.; one daughter, Nora Belle Schade of Virginia
Beach, Va.; 14 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. She was preceded
in death by her husband, Robert Hill; one sister, Ruth Pannell and one son,
Scott Aston. Visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church in Palestine on
Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, from 10 a. m. until 1 p. m. A memorial service will be
held at 1 p. m. on Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, with Rev. George Thorpe officiating
with burial following in Bell Cemetery.
