BETHEL

Alfred William King, 85, died Sunday, February 27, at Manatee Memorial Hospital
in Bradenton, FL. Mr. King was born July 31, 1914, in Oak Forest, AR to William
and Ellen King. He was a resident of Bradenton, where he was an avid sportsman
and> a world traveler. He also was retired from DeVlieg Machine Company. He was
a member of Bethel Baptist Church, a Mason and served in the U. S. Army during
World War II in Germany. He is survived by his wife, Mary King; three daughters,
Patsy K. Strickland of West Helena, Linda Barker of Forrest City and Barbara
McClanaghan of Southfield, MI; a sister, Molly Urbany of Royal Oak, MI; a
brother, Geather King of Marianna; eight grandchildren and ten great
grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, March 1, at 11: 30 a.m. at
Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Windmiller officiating.
