Mr. King was born July 31, 1914, in Oak Forest, AR to William and Ellen King. He was a resident of Bradenton, where he was an avid sportsman and> a world traveler. He also was retired from DeVlieg Machine Company. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, a Mason and served in the U. S. Army during World War II in Germany. He is survived by his wife, Mary King; three daughters, Patsy K. Strickland of West Helena, Linda Barker of Forrest City and Barbara McClanaghan of Southfield, MI; a sister, Molly Urbany of Royal Oak, MI; a brother, Geather King of Marianna; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, March 1, at 11: 30 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Windmiller officiating.
