FORREST CITY

Georgia People Lacey, age 62, of Chicago, Ill., died Monday, Sept. 6, 1999, at
her home. She was born April 12, 1937, in Forrest City. She is survived by four
daughters, Hellen Reeves of Forrest City, Georgia Paige, Lynette Jenkins and
Charlotte Winters, all of Chicago, Ill.; two sons, Melvin Peoples of Little
Rock, Barry Lacey of St. Louis, Mo.; two sisters, Vester Franklin of Chicago,
Ill., Eula Humphreys of Memphis; four brothers, M. T. Dedner, Sherman Dedner
Jr., Sonny Peoples, all of Forrest City, Sylvester Peoples of Chicago, Ill.; 13
grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other
family members. Visitation will be from noon to 5: 30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10.,
1999, at Woodhouse Mortuary Chapel. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday,
Sept. 11, 1999, at the Church of the Living God with Elder M. T. Dedner
officiating. Burial will follow in Forrest City Cemetery under the direction of
Woodhouse Mortuary.
