Willie Lipscomb, 71, died Saturday, March 20, in Helena. He was a resident of
Lee County. He is survived by his wife, Sharon B. Lipscomb; seven daughters,
Bobby Jean Watson, Sonja Humbert, Fannie Lipscomb, Annie Carol Lipscomb, Kim
Lipscomb, Kathy Lipscomb and Bessie Lipscomb, all of Chicago; five sons, Maxie
Lipscomb of Benton Harbor, MI, Willie Lipscomb III, Cartez Lipscomb, Freddie
James Lipscomb and Acie Jenkins, all of Chicago, IL; three aunts, Annie Bell
Turner and Lula Posey, both of Memphis and Fannie Mae Garrett of Dallas; 34
grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held
Saturday, March 27, at 1 p.m. at New Bethel M. B. Church. Burial will follow at
Pilgrim Cemetery in Marianna. Visitation will be held Friday, from 11 a.m. -5
p.m. at J. E. Kennedy>Funeral Home. Arrangements are being handled by J. E.
Kennedy Funeral Home.
