Thomas Linn Norsworthy, age 65, of Widener, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 1999, in
Memphis. He was born Aug. 24, 1934, in Memphis, and was the son of Thomas Lyles
Norsworthy and Ida Linn Norsworthy. He was a resident of Widener all of his life
where he was a farmer and a member of the Widener Methodist Church. He was a
graduate of Columbia Military Academy in Columbia, Tenn., and he attended
Arkansas State University. He was retired from the Arkansas National Guard with
the rank of Major. He married Pat Turner in 1956 and she survives him along with
two sons, Thomas Turner Norsworthy and Adam Brett Norsworthy, both of Forrest
City; and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 4, 1999,
at 2 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Gordon and Rev. Jack
Jackson officiating with burial following in Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest
City under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
