Louis Steward, age 73, of Madison, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1999 and his home. He
was the owner of Steward Taxi Cab and was a taxi cab driver for 53 years. He is
survived by his wife, Irene Steward of Detroit, Mich.; two daughters, Audrey
Steward of Forrest City and Loretta Webb of Saigma, Mich.; three sons, Starlin
Steward and Rudolph Steward, both of Forrest City and Clifton Steward of Topeka,
Kan.; three sisters, Bessie Freeling and Ruby Sims, both of Sidney, Ohio and
Louvenia Starks of Madison; and 12 grandchildren. Visitation will be held
Friday, Oct. 1, 1999, from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. at J. E. Kennedy Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 2, 1999, at 1 p.m. at the J. E.
Kennedy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. S. W. Baker Sr. officiating with burial
following at Casteel.
