Guss Joplin DoB: April 15, 1931 DoD: Feb. 4, 1995 Ref: 199506 Mrs. Myrtle L. Guss Joplin of Forrest City died Saturday, Feb. 4, 1995, in Houston, Tex. She was 63. She was born Apr4il 15, 1931, in Widener, the daughter of Moses E. Guss and Leeotress Willis Guss. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Forrest City area for many years. Mrs. Joplin was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Eddie Clay Joplin Jr. Survivors include a daughter, Hazel L. Joplin Bohannon of Houston, a brother, Earnest Howard of Forret City; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 1995, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Fredrick Clay officiating. Burial will be in Memphis National Cemetery, 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, 1995. Family hours will be Friday, Feb. 10, 1995, in the chapel of Woodhouse Mortuary, 6 to 8 p.m. Woodhouse Mortuary of Forrest City is in charge of arrangements.
