He was 45. Mr. Madden was born Oct. 16, 1949, in New Haven, Conn., the son of Wlliam M. Madden Sr. and Willa Mae Young Madden. He had lived in St. Francis County for the past ten years, served in the Vietnam War as a fuel systems mechanic, and was most reently employed by the George Jackson Mental Health Center in Jonesboro. He as a member of the Salem Baptist Church on Haven Street. Survivors include his parents of Connecticut; his wife, Gloria Kirkland Madden, two sons, Wilson M. Madden III (Teddy) and Malik M. Madden, and a daughter, Aisha Madden, all of the home; two brothers, Billy Madden of California and Gregory Madden of Connecticut; three sisters, Teresa Madden, Connie Madden and Maudell Madden, all of Connecticut; a grandchild Dominique Madden, and his grandmothers, Maude Madden and Mamie Young, both of Connecticut. Funeral services will be held 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 1995, at the Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Toney officiating. Morgan Funderal Home of Forrest City and Wade Funeral Home of New Haven are in charge of arrangements. The family has requested memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
