DoB: March 11, 1931 DoD: Feb. 8, 1995 Ref. # 1995008 Mr. Harold K. Thomas, 63, of Adrian, Mich., died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 199, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Mich. He was born March 22, 1931, to James Calvin and Winnie Izora (Whorton) Thomas in Stantonville, Tenn. He married Sue M. Nichols on Feb. 16, 1952 in Arkansas. He was a former resident of Forrest City. Mr. Thomas was employed by Tecumseh Products for 16 years. He then became a cross-country truck driver, retiring fro L&M Trucking in 1988. He served his country during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion. He attended the Adrian Christian Complex and enjoyed wrestling and baseball. Survivors include his wife; a son, David Thomas of Norvell, Mich.; three daughters, Linda Lam of Battle Creek, Mich., Sandra Clapp of Holly, Mich., and Laurie Lewis of Adrian; two brothers, James Calvin Thomas and Travis Ray Thomas; two sisters, “Emoline Lemones and Nancy Caqrpenter, both of Jonesboro; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Floyd Thomas and Billy Thomas. Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 10, 1995, at the Braun Funeral Home with Rev. R.D. Strawcutter officiating. Burial took place at the Palmyra Cemetery.
