Swafford, Larkin E.

	Larkin Edgar Swafford, 73, of Mountain View died Wednesday, 
April 22, 1998, in Little Rock.
	Born October 5, 1924, at Ben (Stone County), he was the son of 
the late Henry Clay Swafford & Laura Jane Evans Swafford.  He was a 
farmer, a member of Arbanna Baptist Church & a World War II Army 
veteran.
	Survivors include his wife, Peggy Pebbles Swafford; a son, Roger 
Swafford of Mountain View; 3 daughters, Nancy White & Kathy Rushing, 
both of Mountain View, & Karen Mays of Melbourne; a brother, Troy 
Swafford of Mountain View; 3 sisters, Oneta Bufford & Daisy Goins, 
both of Mountain View, & Elsie Endsley of Heber Springs; & 9 
grandchildren.
	Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, 
Roy Swafford, Ray Swafford, & Thadus Swafford; & a sister, Bertha 
Thomas.
	The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Arbanna Baptist Church 
with the Rev. Jim Chandler & the Rev. Hubert Davis officiating.  
Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery (Cleburne County) under the 
direction of Crouch Funeral Home of Mountain View.
	Pallbearers will be Kenny Swafford, Michael Goins, Wheeler 
Watters, Dewayne Swafford, Glenn Swafford, & Claudie Watters.
	Honorary pallbearers will be J. R. Watters, Brian Stoltze, Larry 
Goins, & Ricky Vales.
