Most of the obituaries do not show a paper name or date published. Most of them came from The Stone County Leader in Mountain View, Stone County, Arkansas. If from another paper, this will be noted at the end of the obiturary. If there are no dates mentioned (as sometimes happens in older notices), I will attempt to include dates at the end. EDGAR WILLIAMS Edgar Williams, age 82, of Mountain View, died December 2, 1993 in Stone County Medical Center. He was born February 17, 1911 in Richwoods Community and was the son of Robert E. Lee Williams and Maggie Kendrick Williams. He was one of 23 children. He was married to Jessie Lourance October 23, 1931. He was a Baptist, a retired farmer, a timber worker, and a former employee of the Stone County Road Department. Ed was prededed in death by his parents, a granddaughter, a great granddaughter, and several brothers and sisters. Survivors are his wife, Jessie Williams; two daughters, Nada Stewart of Mountain View and Shirley Bailey of Independence, Missouri; a brother, Bob Williams; a sister, Agatha Glenn; a half sister, Blanche Barnes, all of Mountain View; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral service was Saturday, December 4 at 10 am at Crouch Chapel with Rev. Randy Long officiating. Burial was in Case Cemetery. Pallbearers were O.D. Rodgers, Jack Morris, Steve Blackwell, Carroll Hicklin, Dan Gosser, and Ottis Barnes.
