All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgenwebarchives.org *********************************************** These obituaries have been collected over the years by myself and by my mother, Norma Louise Wilcox Williams prior to her death in 1992. Most of the obituaries do not show a paper name or date published. Most of them came from The Stone County Leader in Mountain View, Stone County, Arkansas. If from another paper, this will be noted at the end of the obiturary. If there are no dates mentioned (as sometimes happens in older notices), I will attempt to include dates at the end. One final note, 99% of these people are all relatives. If someone makes a connection or would like the information I have, please contact me. EFFIE WILLIAMS Mrs. Effie Williams was born Nov. 6, 1888 in Mountain View, Ark. and died Nov 16, 1951. She was 63 years and 10 days old at time of death. She professed faith in Christ at around 15 years of age and united with the Missionary Baptist Church and lived a devoted Chriistian life. The Church she attended at the time of her deat was the First Baptist Church, Mountain View. She was the wife of Bob Williams who preceded her in death about nine years ago. Surviving her are ten children: Guy jenkins, Calico Rock; Mrs. Blanche Barnes, Indio, California; Mrs. Vona Trammell and Mrs. Agatha Glenn of Mountain View. Mrs. Williams had been afflicted for about ten years and bore her suffering with patience as only a child of God would. It is hard to understand why such must suffer but we feel sure that God knows best and that we will understand it by and by. Funeral services were conducted by Ray Nichols. Burial in Flatwoods Cemetery under direction of Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville. A long time friend and former pastor - Ray Nichols. (Appeared in local paper. Do not know name. Her parents were William T. and Amanda Hopper White.)
